West Marin Craftsman
Building this home, closest to my heart, was one of those lifetime opportunities to excel at my woodworking craftsmanship. This being the home I raised my family in, there were no time constraints, so I was able to just pour my love of building (learned from my grandfather) into this home. Every minute detail was carefully considered and conscientiously implemented, from the hand selection of each and every piece wood, through mocking up models, to final assembly. If then, it wasn’t right we would painstakingly remove and re-orchestrate the entire process. But sometimes a carpenters error or mistake, created an even better final assembly. That was the magic, as if the woods were actually speaking to us … and we were listening.
